2024 pricing and plan updates

We’re making changes to our subscription plan offerings and pricing. These updated plans are available for everyone signing up for Fastmail on or after April 8, 2024.

On this page, we'll cover the most notable changes to our pricing and plans.

Current Fastmail customers will be moved to new plans and pricing later this year. We’ll email you at least 30 days before your first renewal under the new plans to ensure you have all the details, including the price of your renewal, which may change. To ensure that this message — or any other message — is a legitimate communication from Fastmail, look out for the white check mark in a green circle. Introducing new Personal plans

New Duo and Family plans

We are introducing new multi-user plans to make it affordable for your whole family to get started on Fastmail:

  • Our Duo plan is priced at $10 a month and includes two users.
  • Our Family plan is priced at $14 a month and includes up to six users.

With these plans, each user will have their own separate login information, mailboxes, and storage. Each user receives 50 GB of storage.

In addition to having your own private mail, contacts, and calendars, users on Duo and Family plans can easily share information with other users in their account:

  • Share calendars to keep track of important events and appointments.
  • Share contacts to maintain a family address book.
  • Share mail folders and addresses so that you can read and respond to important messages together.

Users on these plans can set up custom domains that can be used to create email addresses for any users in their account. Admins on these plans also have access to options that help them manage their users' accounts.

The Standard plan is now the Individual plan

Our Standard plan has been renamed as the Individual plan, and is now $6 a month.

Changes to our Basic plan

Our Basic plan is now $4 a month per user. Mail storage on this plan has been increased to 5 GB.

Introducing new Business plans

We are introducing three new business plans, designed for companies who'd like to use Fastmail for their business needs. 

  • Our Business Basic plan is priced at $4 per user per month, and comes with 5 GB of storage per user. This no-frills option is intended for users with minimal storage and feature needs.
  • Our Business Standard plan is priced at $6 per user per month, and comes with 50 GB of storage per user. This plan includes access to third-party apps such as Outlook or Apple Mail, and productivity features such as Snooze and Scheduled Send.
  • Our Business Professional plan is priced at $10 per user per month, and comes with 100 GB of storage per user. In addition to providing access to third-party apps and productivity features, this option is great for users who have high storage needs or who need to use our tamper-proof email retention feature.

In addition to having your own private mail, contacts, and calendars, users on any Business plan can easily collaborate by sharing information with other users in their account:

  • Share calendars to keep meetings and events up-to-date.
  • Share contacts to maintain a company-wide address book.
  • Share mail folders and addresses so that other members of your team can read and respond.

Users on the Business Standard and Business Professional plans can set up custom domains that can be used to create email addresses for any users in their account. Users on the Business Basic plan can also have email addresses at custom domains, provided there is at least one admin in the account on a Business Standard or Business Professional plan.

Billing in your local currency

If you are located outside of the US, we have listened to your feedback: We are now able to bill in select local currencies, instead of USD only.

We can now accept payments in the following currencies: AUD, BRR, CAD, CHF, CSK, DKK, EUR, GBP, HKD, HUF, INR, JPY, KRW, MXN, NZD, PLN, SGD, USD, and ZAR.

You can select your country from the dropdown menu when choosing a plan, and the currency will automatically change.
