Password errors on mobile devices

To access your Fastmail data from a third party app on a mobile device, you must set up an app password for that app or program.

We do this to keep your account secure: the password you use in an external application can't be used to gain access to the web interface.

Basic plans do not support IMAP access, so you will not be able to create and use an app password if you are on a Basic plan.
