When you have important messages that you want to be able to see quickly, use our pin feature. Pinned messages are flagged as special.
Pinned messages and conversations can be set up so that you see them at the top of your folder. You can also search for pinned messages.
If you have auto-purge set up, any pinned messages in that folder or label will not be purged.
Pinned messages in the Fastmail interface may show as "Starred" messages in some email clients.

Click the pin option at the top of the message. This looks like a small red thumbtack:

In your mailbox, click the pin option next to the conversation you want to pin:

The sort order button lets you choose whether pinned messages display at the top of your mailbox or stay in their usual order.
Search for a pinned messages
To search for a pinned message, you can use the advanced search menu and select the Is pinned checkbox:
You can also do this by manually typing is:pinned in your search.
